Instructions for navigating The Task website and the SAM region website to find Hands On requests

The Task Website

To use The Task website to look at Hands On requests throughout South America and the world click here: http://thetask.org/students/Projects/Default.asp.

On the right side of the webpage, click on the "Hands On" button. This will take you to a map where you click on the area of the world you are interested in.

For Hands On requests in the Americas, click on "The Americas" and a listing of all the Hands On requests in South and Central America and Canada will be listed alphabetically by country.

When you find a request you are interested in, t the bottom of the details of the request, click on "Apply Now" to begin the application process.

To view the requests from northern Chile click on the links below:
Spring Semester, 2009 (Jan 15 - June 1)
Fall Semester, 2009 (Aug 15 - Dec 15)

The South America Region Website

To use the South America Region Website, go to: www.samregion.org.

Click on "Go" tab at top of the webpage.

On the left side, click on "Volunteer Requests".

Sort requests by Title. This will list the requests in alphabetical order. Scroll down to the "Hands On" set of requests.

The request for Hands on Volunteers for northern Chile is titled "Hands On Andean Valley Start-" The dates listed are wrong, they should be Jan 15 2009 to June 1 2009.

Click on "Project Details" link at the bottom of the job description and it will take you to The Task website. The dates listed there are correct.

At the bottom of the details of the request, click on "Apply Now" to begin the application process.
